When I started The Whispering Rafters, I did not have a big plan. I only had two brothers, a house on stilts, and a river that never stays quiet. Now the story has grown. Ten chapters are done. More are coming and you can see that on the roadmap page.
I want to share how I work, so you know what to expect. Nothing here is a promise I cannot keep.
Each chapter takes time. I write, I read it again, and I change many things. I do not want to rush a story that needs care. So I keep a steady pace. One chapter at a time. Step by step.
Between chapters, I also share smaller things. Sometimes a short story. Sometimes a journal note about the writing. Sometimes a personal note like this one. Sometimes a printable you can keep. These are lighter, but they matter to me. Small things are easy to miss, but they hold the story together. They are the quiet moments between the loud ones.
I also keep space in my plan. Not every week needs a new chapter. Some weeks are for rest, for thinking, or for fixing mistakes. If life gets busy, I use that space. This way, the story keeps going without breaking.
My goal for this year is simple. Finish what I promised. Keep the quality good. Stay honest with you. I would rather give you fewer posts than weak ones.
Thank you for walking with Sulung and Bungsu. The longhouse door is open. Come back when you like.
